How to Post a Comment

As we gear up for Greg'g Great Summer Adventure of 2009, I realized a number of people have told me they'd like to leave comments on the blog, but can't figure out how to. Greg really enjoys them, especially when he's feeling crappy, so I thought I'd take this opportunity between never ending loads of laundry to give a little primer to those who are having trouble.

There's a couple ways to do it.

First, no matter which way you pick, type in your comment on the comment page in the box.

Then, if you want, you can create a blogger account using an e-mail address & a password. You will be given an opportunity to create a "name" which will automatically appear with your comment. You will need to sign in each time. You can sign in from the blog main page, or under "Choose an Identity" you can sign in there. (You might have to do this before you write your comment, I'm not sure)

If you're too intimidated to try to create an account, you can remain "anonymous." (Just be sure to sign your name to your comment so we know who you are!). Under "Choose an Identity" you need to click the "anonymous" option after typing your comment. Then, you MUST type in the funky word you see in the box to validate your comment. This is designed to keep away spammers. Once you do that, you hit "Publish Your Comment." That's it!

Now, I don't usually leave comments, so those of you who do, if you have any further tips, or see that I've made a critical error in these instructions, please post a comment telling us so.

That's all for now. We're going to spend the day with the kids, get ready & head out tomorrow sometime. They'll call us when the bed is ready. We'll post either tomorrow or first thing Monday if we get there too late tomorrow.

Until then, Keep Praying!!!

Love,

Us.

The only question here that has remained unanswered is one I have been asking for a long time now.

Can we use the secret 'sign-in' words legitimately when we play scrabble?

Other than that, you've got it covered! (if you want a picture to go with your posts, you have to be a registered blogger).

Hugs! ~and I got my oven clean!

I follow Ann’s instructions and it works! If some of you are like me worrying about typo etc., you could type up your comments on Microsoft Word and then copy (Ctr-C) and paste (Ctr-V) it to the comment box. I follow my own instruction and it works too!
My prayers as always and best of Luck and Blessing!

Hi Greg & Ann,
We hope your hospital TV has Versus so you are able to watch the Stanley Cup play-offs like the good little hockey fans you are! Then, again, it is either going to be Detroit or Chicago from the West so you may not want to watch..... Greg, Dave just got back from a conference in New Orleans which had a sociology professor as one of the speakers. He told about giving a test to a kid asking the difference between ignorance and apathy. The kid answered, “I don’t know and I don’t care.” The speaker felt compelled to give the kid an A. Dave thought you might want to include that question in your next exam. Thanks for the blog updates. We are keeping you in our prayers. We believe in the power of prayer and are asking our friends to join with us in those prayers. Ginger, David and Sam

Needless to say you have been in all of our thoughts and prayers on an ongoing basis especially as day zero approaches. Your entire hockey "family" here in Springfield is thinking and praying for you. I hope today is restful for you, if that is even possible at this point, so that you can be strong for tomorrow. We bought you some DVD's today to help in passing the time during your recovery. It is a season of one of the television comedies. We will mail it to the hospital via the way you have posted in the blog. If you do not like the show we got we can get another show for you just let us know. We thought the DVD's were a good idea since you mentioned the room you will eventually be moved to will not have a TV (no TV, what kind of craziness is that?). Tonight is game two of the Stanley cup, Detroit is up 1-0. Go Pittsburgh is all I say. I am kind of tired of the Red Wings. I hope you can take in the game to take your mind off of things if even for just a little while. May God bless you and be with you during tomorrow as he has been through this entire process. We all will say an extra prayer, cross our fingers, wish upon a star, and do whatever else we can in the hopes that this all brings you health and many more years to enjoy the Vikings beating on the Pack!
With all our love and prayers,
Jim, Kris, Caitlin and Jacob Wherley
